I'm an ISTJ

At work, we have to take personality tests (I'm sure most people do). Some friends and I were discussing our different and similar results. Well, according to the Myers-Briggs test, I'm an ISTJ--introversion, sensing, thinking and judging. (I've also read this explained as introverted sensing with extraverted thinking. I'll take it.)

That means I'm most refreshed after some alone time, I'm uber-observant, I'm a deep thinking (read: OVER-thinker. Just ask my man.) and I'm a decision-maker.

This is profiled as "the Duty Fulfiller."

Ha.

I'm not sure if these are good or bad things, but I just read that the below are some careers that suit my personality the best:

  • Business Executives, Administrators and Managers
  • Accountants and Financial Officers
  • Police and Detectives
  • Judges
  • Lawyers
  • Medical Doctors / Dentists
  • Computer Programmers, Systems Analysts, and Computer Specialists
  • Military Leaders
Dr. Alina? Not sure about that. Judge Alina? Definitely not. Sgt. Alina? Ha.

This is going downhill.

Regardless, I'm an ISTJ, and for once, I won't over-think it.

  1. Did you just have to re-take that for work? Our team did this week. I am an ISTJ also, although I only scored 1 more point on thinking than feeling so ISFJ describes me pretty well too.

  2. I've taken that also. Scored the same thing. Go figure. :)
